Williams

Marvin Dean Williams, 77, of Deerhead, Ala., died Sept. 5, 2007 at a Jackson health care facility.

He was born May 2, 1930. He was a native of Sims Chapel. He was a member of the Jackson Church of Christ. He was self-employed in the construction industry.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Williams, Deerhead; two sons, Tim Williams, Marty Williams, both of Deerhead; one daughter, Dianne Pugh, St. Stephens; two sisters, Louise Patrick, Deerhead, Wanda Patrick, Calvert; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

The was a Masonic graveside service Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Harris Cemetery in Deerhead. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were Joel Williams, Jeremy Williams, Lee Pugh, Brad Pugh, Dewayne Looper and Jonathon Maygher.
