Longtime Grove Hill town employee has worked in many areas

Missing man found dead Monday

      A man missing since the middle of last week was found dead Monday just off Hebron Road in Grove Hill. Family members became concerned when Glen Vann, 57, did not show up for work last Thursday. He had been living in a camper in a trailer park on Hebron Road.

Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

      A traffic stop by Jackson Police Sgt. Josh Garrett in the early morning hours, Monday, Sept. 17, ended with the arrest of a Toxey man for illegal drug possession. Sgt. Garrett stopped Faron Henson Jenkins, 47, near the intersection of Highway 43 and McVay Road around 1 a.m.

      The Drug Test Group, LLC opened for business in Jackson Monday, Sept. 17. "We provide drug, alcohol and DNA testing services. This is all we do so it makes it more convenient. You don't have the wait here that you would at the doctor's office or the hospital," owner Sandy Dews said.
