Pictures from the Past
Sharon Hamilton Reynolds submitted this photo of the Burge Super Store from the 1950s or early 1960s. Her grandfather, Floyd Burge, owned and operated the grocery and dry goods store that later became Piggly Wiggly and relocated to where Greer's is today. Bill's Dollar Store was located in this building that burned several years ago. Note the penny scales and the old Coke box out front!
