Lawmen spent several hours Friday evening searching the woods along Harrison Lane in the Hebron community for two suspects in a car theft.

Earlier that day the Clarke County Sheriff's Department received a report that a 2005 Chevrolet Impala had been stolen from the Michael Pugh residence in the Toddtown community.

That afternoon Pugh saw the subjects in the car and attempted to follow them. The driver, Sharick Bonner, apparently spun out on the dirt road and wrecked the vehicle.

Bonner and Gadonna Barnett stayed with the car and Karl Dennis and a juvenile fled on foot into the woods.

Fulton Police Department's K-9 unit was brought to the scene. Also joining the search were Alabama State Troopers.

Several hours later the two subjects were spotted walking down Highway 84 and were apprehended.

Bonner was charged with theft of property, first degree. Dennis, Barnett and the juvenile were charged with receiving stolen property.
