Beta Club inducts new members

      The Clarke County High School chapter of the National Beta Club held its annual induction ceremony Thursday, Sept. 13, inducting 17 new members. The Beta Club is a national organization which provides recognition of those students who excel in academics, leadership abilities, and citizenship.

More donations for band uniforms

      The Clarke County High School "Royal Band of Blue" recently received two grants from State Senator Pat Lindsey and State Representative Thomas Jackson. Lewis King, staff member of CCHS, earned $5,000 for the band by Lindsey, and Frieda Allan, dance line sponsor, was granted $10,000 from Jackson.

      The 2006-2007 yearbooks are back, and it is one of the best yearbooks CCHS has ever published! The 2007 editors and members of the annual staff are proud of the 120 paged, all color 55th edition of memoirs entitled "A Picture is Worth 2007 Words.

      The duo of Lewis King and Jennifer Hawkins is a pair that CCHS could not function without. They cut our grass, clean our bathrooms, take out our garbage, and basically clean up every mess we make. These two are a pair of hard workers who rarely get recognized for their dedication.
