The students and faculty of Clarke County High School participated in "See You at the Pole," Sept. 26.

"See You at the Poll" is a studentinitiated, student organized, and student led event. That means this is all about students meeting at their school flagpole to pray for their school, friends, teachers, government, and their nation.

"See You at the Pole" is not a demonstration, political rally, nor a stand for or against anything.

This year more than 140 students gathered in front of Sage Auditorium Wednesday morning to pray, the largest turnout the school has ever had.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, along with Grove Hill Baptist Church and Bro. Dave Rhodes, pastor of Grove Hill United Methodist Church, hosted the event, which began at 7:30.

FCA officers John Pendleton and Schaefer Bradford led the ceremony by reading scripture and telling the story of "See You at the Pole," followed by a prayer from Bro. Rhodes.
