Southern Magnolia club hears C'ville Mayor
The Southern Magnolia Woman's Club met Sept. 14 at the Alfa building in Grove Hill.
The guest speaker for the meeting was Mayor Faye Cotten of Coffeeville. She discussed the job of a small town mayor and the obstacles a woman mayor faces.
Business discussed included the committees for the club year, Pioneer Day preparations and the 2008 fern sale.
Refreshments were served by hostesses Kay Bagley, Mary Ann Hutto and Kathryn Pickard.
