Fence post snags former DA's 4-wheeler and he gets thrown hard
By Kathryn F. Pickard News Reporter

Bobby Keahey, former district attorney, was seriously injured in a four-wheeler accident Saturday.

He was with a group of friends and relatives at his place on the Allen Road in Grove Hill preparing to go dove hunting.

As he was leaving the group on a four-wheeler his rear tire caught the fence post, causing the four-wheeler to flip with him several times.

Keahey was taken by private vehicle

to Grove Hill Memorial Hospital and then transported to USA Medical Center in Mobile.

His aunt, Lanie Keahey, said Monday he has several

broken ribs, a broken collar bone and a broken hand and was in a lot of pain.

Contacted Tuesday, Keahey said he was better and could be released from the hospital Wednesday.

"I always cautioned my children and others about the dangers of these things [four-wheelers] and then I go out and have a wreck," he said.
