Clarke-Bagley say vows at local church

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tyler Bagley
Emily Dyan Clarke and Larry Tyler Bagley were united in holy matrimony on August 25, 2007 at the Grove Hill United Methodist Church. Reverend Edward M. Cotten of Pace, Florida and Reverend Davis Rhodes officiated the doublering ceremony. The scripture was read by Jody Cotten. Cecilia Adams of St. Stephens directed the wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Gene and Cheryl Clarke of Grove Hill. She is the granddaughter of Gloria Crider and the late Byron Crider of Decatur and the late Paul and Doris Clarke of Thomasville.

The groom is the son of Larry and Kay Bagley of Grove Hill. Tyler is the grandson of Mildred Barfield and the late Archie Barfield of Grove Hill and Ann Bagley and the late Ed Bagley of Hoover.

The church sanctuary was decorated with arrangements of pink and white larkspur, white Casablanca lilies, pink roses, green hydrangeas, Italian and Israel ruscus, green spider mums, bells of Ireland and calla lilies.

Jenny Moore of Jackson, kept the bride's book. Wedding programs were distributed by Caroline and Julia Barfield of Atlanta, Georgia.

Prenuptial and wedding music was provided by the Silverwood Quartet of Pensacola, Florida.

Given in marriage by her father, Emily wore a formal gown from the Monaco Bridal Collection, inspired by HSH Princess Grace of Monaco. Created from imported Monaco silk, the gown featured a strapless bodice accented by glass crystals, silver beading and hand-knotted silver silk lame' designs. The full skirt with a 10- foot train was edged by silver hand-knotted lame' designs with glass crystals and silver beading. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink titanic roses, white miniature calla lilies, and pearl-studded stephanotis,

The bride was served by Amy Clarke Davis of Grove Hill as matron of honor and Lauren Megginson of Birmingham as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kari Bagley of Tuscaloosa, Melissa Bagley of Grove Hill, Kaysha Patel of Moody and Louisa Muñoz of Birmingham. The bridesmaids wore floorlength strapless Mori Lee gowns in pink chiffon and carried hand-tied bouquets of Alex and pink titanic roses, green hydrangeas, and white miniature calla lilies.

Larry Bagley served as Tyler's best man. Groomsmen were Rex Knight and Daniel Baugh, both of Grove Hill, Kevin Parker and Kurt Hutto, both of Fultondale, and Lucas Stewart of Atlanta, Georgia. Ushers were Matt and Dru Powell of Tuscaloosa, and Neil Resmondo of Trussville.

The reception was held in the church's fellowship hall. Reception hostesses were Mary English and Terry Norris.

The wedding cake was a three-layer round white cake featuring Emily's and Tyler's monogram. It was displayed on a large silver pedestal and decorated with live pink roses.

The groom's cake was a threelayer square chocolate cake topped with chocolate covered strawberries.

Rhonda and Ellie Wilson, Susan Jones and Mary Ann Hutto, all of Grove Hill, and Dacy Jones of Auburn, and Cindy Anderson of Jackson served cake and punch.

After a week-long honeymoon at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort, the couple currently resides in Trussville, Alabama.
