Lots of homecomings set for area churches

Homecoming services will be held at the Fellowship Baptist Church of Chance on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Services will begin at 12:00 noon. Recently installed pastor, Otto Ward will deliver the homec oming sermon. Dinner will be served.

A three night revival will be held beginning Wednesday night. Services will begin each night at 7 p.m. Rev. James Howard of Thomasville will be the revival speaker.

All surrounding churches are invited.

Greetings are extended to the following community members who will celebrate their birthday during the month of October: LaToya Beavers-10/27, Shawanda Bettis-10/12, Terry Dotson-10/22, Esther Kidd- 10/12, Charley Marshall Jr.- 10/28, Fancy Morrissette- 10/9, Marquetta Morrisette- 10/31, Earl Taite-10/8, Daryl Horn-10/17, Glenn Davis- 10/17, Kayla Kidd-10/9, Katlin Kidd-10/9, Keagan Dotson-10/17, Mamie Westry-10/30.

In my last column Bernice Taite Carlton's name was mistakenly printed as Bernice Taite Calhoun. She hosted the Taite/Tate Family Reunion this year which was held in Mt. Vernon.

Homecoming services will be held at the Chance Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 14. Morning worship service begins at 11:30 a.m.

Homecoming service will begin at 1:45 p.m. with Rev. Cleo McGrew as the guest speaker. Dinner will be served.

Revival services will be held Monday through Friday nights, Oct. 15-19 with services beginning at 7:15 p.m. Rev. Floyd O. Bell of Linden will be the revival speaker.

All surrounding churches are invited to participate. Rev. Charley Marshall Sr. is the pastor.

Please continue to pray for family and community members who are recovering from recent illness: Carl Chapman, Dot Dotson, Nellie Galamb, Dorothy Carlton, Evelean Taite, Mamie Westry, Grace Haskew, Maxie Taite, Monroe Kidd, Loretta Harper, J.D.
