Beck Jimmy Leon Beck, 58, of Jackson died Sept. 28, 2007 in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 27, 1948. He was a member of the Bolentown Pentecostal Church. He was retired as a self-employed mechanic. Survivors include his guardian and niece, Sarah Ann Blackmon, Jackson; two brothers, Ray (Dot) Beck, Charles Leland Beck, all of Jackson; one nephew, Collin (Budman) Blackmon, Jackson. A graveside service was Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. in the Stave Creek Baptist Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed. Cox Ross Allen Cox, 21, of Leroy died Sept. 27, 2007 at his residence. He was born Jan. 24, 1986. He was a native of Mobile. Survivors include his father, Roosevelt Cox Jr., Jackson; his mother, Janette Lloyd Schofield, South Carolina; one brother, John Hammock, Jackson; four sisters, Roseanne N. Cox, Melinda Croom, Rebecca Croom, Tasha Croom, all of Jackson; his grandfather, Henry Lloyd, Mobile.
The service was Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson. Burial was in the Pine Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Leroy.
