Church Announcements Wagarville Baptist concert Wagarville Baptist Church will have a concert Saturday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. featuring the Crimson City Quartet. HIS Vineyard clothes giveaway HIS Vineyard Church, located at 1070 Coffeeville Road in Jackson will have a clothes giveaway Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 a.m. The response from this community has been overwhelming with donations of clothing items so there is surely something for everyone. They will also be serving hotdogs and drinks around lunch time. Evergreen homecoming Evergreen Baptist Church will have its annual homecoming and first year memorial/grave decoration Sunday, Oct. 21. Sunday school will begin at 9:45 a.m. with morning worship at 11 a.m. Rev. Rodney Mullins will be the guest speaker. A special time during the worship service will be allotted for anyone who wishes to give a brief testimony in memory of a loved one or friend buried in the church's adjoining cemetery. Grove Hill Baptist fall revival Grove Hill Baptist Church will have Fall Revival beginning Sunday, Oct. 21 through Wednesday, Oct. 24. Services will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Dr. Don Boone, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Vancleave, Miss. will be the evangelist for the week. Dr. Boone has served churches in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Kentucky. He was pastor of one of the strongest churches in Mississippi. A nursery will be provided for the smaller children. Brother Hughie Denton is the interim pastor. Mt. Gilead pastor appreciation Mt. Gilead of Carlton will celebrate its pastor's fifth year anniversary Sunday, Oct. 28. Clarke Baptist Association located in Grove Hill will be a drop-off site for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes Monday, Nov. 12 through Sunday, Nov. 18. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse that takes a gift filled shoe boxes to children in foreign countries. These boxes may be the only gift box this child may ever receive.
