Brown

Lola Pugh Brown, 89, of Montgomery died Oct. 3, 2007.

She was born June 24, 1918 in Coffeeville. She had been a member of New Prospect Baptist Church since she was 15 years old.

Survivors include a sister-inlaw, Letha Pugh; beloved nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lenson Brown; her parents, Elias and Mary Pugh; her two sisters, Bertha and Edythe; her eight brothers, Earl Pugh, Conrad Pugh, Love Pugh, Clayton Pugh, Ira Pugh, Ted Pugh, Tollie Pugh and Morley Pugh.

The service was Oct. 5 at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Dunnam officiating. Music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Billy Harrison of Jackson. Burial was in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were Chris Pugh, Tommy Pugh, Howard Nichols, Scott Owens, Lex Owens and Lee Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers were nieces and all other nephews.

Memorials may be sent to the New Prospect Baptist Church.

Foster

Judy Griffin Foster, 62, of Walker Springs died Oct. 3, 2007 at Jackson Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 27, 1945. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jackson. She was a bookkeeper for Woodson Furniture Company.

Survivors include her husband, James "Baby Ray" Foster, Jackson; two brothers, Billy (Paula) Griffin, Jackson; James (Linda) Griffin, Grove Hill; three sisters, Shirley G. Chastain, Jackson, Gerry Faye Griffin, Walker Springs, Jewell Paul, Grove Hill; numerous nephews and nieces.

A private graveside service was Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
