Henley

Myrtle Marie Jensen Henley, 89, of Greer, S.C. died Oct. 7, 2007 at her daughter's residence in Greer, S.C.

She was born June 30, 1918. She was a native of Penn Station, Miss. and a long time resident of Jackson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson. She was a lifetime member of the O.E.S. and D.A.R.

Survivors include two daughters, Frances (Michael) Erickson, Greer, S.C., Bonnie Bonnell, Melbourne, Fla.; one brother, Eugene (Linda) Jensen, Baton Rouge, La.; two sisters, Dorothy (Ralph) Spurgeon, Brooksville, Miss., Audrey Powell, Jackson; three grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N.C. Jensen, her husband, Frank T. Henley and a brother, Nels Jensen who was killed in World War II.

The service was Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson. Burial was in the Henley Cemetery in Fulton.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Jackson, a local hospice or a charity of your choice.
