James honored at Theodore High

James
Nurse Claretta James has been selected as Employee of the Month at Theodore High School in the Mobile County Public School System. James was nominated because of her outstanding dedication to the students at this school.

Each day James takes care of a large number of students, always extending a caring concern and professionalism as she monitors their condition and makes appropriate decisions as to what actions need to be taken.

"Her position is a vital part of our school faculty, and she is appreciated by students, teachers, and parents as well for her untiring efforts in making sure our children are well taken care of," said Ronald Rowell, principal.

"Not only does she handle all the nursi n g responsibilities for students, but she also renders assistance to teachers in need of care.

"In addition, she is ready and willing to assist anyone in this school wherever help is needed. It is her unselfish attitude and attention to the needs of others that has earned her this well deserved recognition as our Employee of the Month for October 2007," Rowell added.

James is the CEO of the Toddtown Community Development Center and tutoring program for children in the Clarke County area.

She is retired from Grove Hill Memorial Hospital as a nurse and Respitory Technician.

She is the daughter of the late Charlie and Mattie Pugh of Grove Hill.
