Chance Baptist

revival

Chance Baptist Church will continue its revival services Thursday, (tonight), Oct. 18 and end Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:15 p.m. nightly. The evangelist for the week will be Rev. Floyd O. Bell of Linden. Rev. Charlie Marshall is the pastor.

Pilgrim Rest

Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Walker Springs will continue its revival Thursday, (tonight), Oct. 18 and end Friday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. Rev. Michael Howard, pastor of True Light Mission Baptist Church of Prichard will be the evangelist. Rev. Mulvoy Taylor Jr. is the pastor.

HIS Vineyard

clothes giveaway

HIS Vineyard Church, located at 1070 Coffeeville Road in Jackson will have a clothes giveaway Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 a.m. The response from this community has been overwhelming with donations of clothing items so there is surely something for everyone. They will also be serving hotdogs and drinks around lunch time.

Evergreen

homecoming

Evergreen Baptist Church will have its annual homecoming and first year memorial/grave decoration Sunday, Oct. 21. Sunday school will begin at 9:45 a.m. with morning worship at 11 a.m. Rev. Rodney Mullins will be the guest speaker. A special time during the worship service will be allotted for anyone who wishes to give a brief testimony in memory of a loved one or friend buried in the church's adjoining cemetery. A covered dish lunch will follow the service.

Grove Hill

Baptist revival

Grove Hill Baptist Church revival will begin Sunday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. and run through Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. nightly. Dr. Don Boone is the evangelist and Dr. Randy Boone is the minister of music.

Rocky Mt. Baptist Church of Barlow Bend will be honoring Rev. King David Jackson Jr. and first lady, Lucy Jackson on their 17th year appreciation Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. Elder Robert Stokes of New Life Holiness Church of Mobile will be the guest minister. All churches are invited.

Good Hope

Good Hope Baptist Church will have its revival Sunday, Oct. 21 during the worship service. A covered dish lunch will follow. The revival services will continue Monday, Oct. 22 through Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker will be Rev. Hal Taylor. Special music will be offered by Bro. Buddy Deisen.

Pleasant Grove

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Winn will have homecoming Sunday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Bro. William Allison. Lunch will follow. Bro. Roger Keel is the pastor.

Little Rock

Little Rock Baptist Church of Gosport will have its homecoming Sunday, Oct. 21 at 11:30 a.m. Revival services will begin Monday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Rev. Clinton Johnson Sr. of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Mobile will be the evangelist for the week. Rev. Tommie Lee Chapman is the pastor.

Grove Hill

Baptist fall

Grove Hill Baptist Church will have Fall Revival beginning Sunday, Oct. 21 through Wednesday, Oct. 24. Services will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Dr. Don Boone, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Vancleave, Miss. will be the evangelist for the week. Dr. Boone has served churches in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Kentucky. He was pastor of one of the strongest churches in Mississippi. A nursery will be provided for the smaller children. Brother Hughie Denton is the interim pastor.

Amity Baptist

Amity Baptist Church will have its annual homecoming Sunday, Oct. 21 with morning worship at 11 a.m. Dinner will be on the grounds after the morning service followed by special music by Heaven's Gate. Rev. Percy Clarke is the pastor. For more information call 1-251-282-0935.

Oak Grove

fall festival

Oak Grove Baptist Church in the Chilton Community will have its fall festival Saturday, Oct. 27 at 3:30 p.m. There will be a costume contest for all ages, games, activities, obstacle course and more. The evening will end with a hay ride. The fall festival committee is asking those who can, to bring a 2 liter coke, cake, cookies, candy or cup cakes for the Cake Walk. People of all ages are invited to come and enjoy the festivities. Rev. Morris Hill is the pastor.

GHUMC

Trunk-or-Treat

Grove Hill United Methodist Church will have its Halloween Trunk-or-Treat Sunday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. with a fellowship dinner afterwards at 5:30 p.m. Come dressed in your Halloween costume. There will be a cake walk, arts and crafts, lots of candy and lots of fun. If you would like to participate, decorate a car/truck/or golf cart, be in the parking lot by 3:30 p.m. Homemade cakes for the cake walk are needed. If you know someone that would like to donate a cake please contact the church. Money raised from the cake walk will be used for the missions. Each walk will cost $1.

Mt. Gilead of Carlton will celebrate its pastor's fifth year anniversary Sunday, Oct. 28. Minister Reginald Bush will be the 11 a.m. speaker. Dr. Howard Johnson of Truevine Baptist Church of Mobile will be the 3 p.m. speaker.
