Chilton burglary suspects arrested

      Three suspects were arrested in the burglary of a residence on Highway 154 in the Chilton community. The case dates back to two burglaries reported in July at the home of Richard Kimbrough, said Ron Baggette, chief investigator with the Clarke County Sheriff's Department.

T'ville library needs new building to expand services

      Officials, friends and supporters of the Thomasville Public Library are gearing up for a fundraising effort to construct a new building. Gina Wilson, library director, said the plan is to build a new one-story structure with a capability to expand to two-story at a later date.

ASCC receives third Bellwether nomination
      Alabama Southern Community College has received its third nomination for the National Bellwether Award. This nomination was for the LifeTech Institute, a model training program for parolees conducted in partnership with Governor Bob Riley and the Alabama Department of Pardons and Paroles.

Man arrested for indecent exposure
      Thomasvile police arrested a man last week for indecent exposure. Earnest Darrell Butler was in a phone booth when he was observed exposing himself. He told officers he needed to use the restroom and didn't think anyone saw.
