Norris named a 'Rural All Star'
 | | Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries Ron Sparks (right) attended the Clarke County Community Foundation's annual meeting in Fulton last Thursday and proclaimed Fulton Mayor Mike Norris (left) a 'Rural All Star' for his community work. Sparks has created the Center for Rural Development to help rural communities. Also in attendance was former State Sen. Gerald Dial, director of the Alabama Rural Action Commission, an organization that is also focusing on rural issues. Both said they were impressed by the work of the CDF.
