Two charged with stealing over $80,000 from local company

A man and woman were arrested Tuesday, Oct. 16 for stealing nearly $80,000 from a company they once owned and later worked for.

Thurman Kim Stacy, 44, of Grove Hill and Pamela Howell McDonald, 49, of Jackson were once part-owners of Industrial Oil and Supply, located in a building owned by Hal "Pee Wee" Johnson on Highway 84 East in Grove Hill .

The company was sold to Wyndell Patterson of Clanton but Stacy continued to work for the company, selling supplies and collecting for them.

Stacy was allegedly taking the money he collected and depositing it into the compnay's old checking account instead of the checking account Patterson opened. McDonald was then writing checks to Stacy out of the old account, lawmen explained

Both Stacy and Howell were charged with theft by deception, first degree and their bonds were set at $30,000 each.
