Hixon

Jerry Lee Hixon Sr., 56, of Jackson died Oct. 13, 2007 at Jackson Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 2, 1951. He was a native of Monroe County. He was a retiree with the city of Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Foreman Hixon, Jackson; his father, Samuel C. Hixon, Monroeville; three sons, Jerry (Darlene) Hixon Jr., Anthony (Adrian) Hixon, Maurice (Toshia) Hixon, all of Jackson; two daughters, Ida Bell (Reginald) Berry, Jackson, Michelle (Felton) Burroughs, Whatley; one brother, Leon (Devinia) Hixon; three sisters, Marcella (James) McMillan, Linda (Eddie) Gross, Evon (Keith) McMillan, all of Monroeville; 13 grandchildren.

The service was Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Jackson Street Baptist Church of Jackson with Rev. Larry Purifoy officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Jackson. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
