Maness

Sarah Frances Thomas Maness, 84, of Arlington died Oct. 18, 2007 at her residence.

She was born Nov. 9, 1922 in Camden. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church. She was a former nurse.

Survivors include three sons, James David (Margie) Maness, Roger Thomas (Sue) Maness, Walter Lamar Maness, all of Arlington; one daughter, Sarah Eugena (Larry) Durant, Camden; one brother, Printice Lee Thomas, Hope Hull; one sister, Mary Alma Pope, Wetumpka; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Eugene Maness, a brother, Dave Henly Thomas Jr., and a sister, Willie Eugenia Etheridge.

The service was Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. with Revs. Marvin Smith Jr. and David Boyd officiating. Burial was in the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Arlington. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Eric Agee, Gene Agee, Lance Maness, Jake Roe, Wayne Cooper and Kenneth Stockman.

Honorary pallbearers were Chester Patrick, Lamar Stockman, Raymond Roughton and Roy Maness.
