Travis James Thomas, 65, of Jackson died Nov. 6, 2007 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 14, 1942 in Jackson. He was a member of Stave Creek Baptist Church in Jackson. He had retired from Ciba Corporation in McIntosh. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Sellers Thomas, Jackson; two sons, Jason Thomas, Alan Thomas, both of Jackson; one daughter, Beverly Myers, Raeford, N.C.; one brother, Lavester Thomas, Jackson; one sister, Betty Thomas, Jackson; four grandchildren.

The service will be Thursday, (today), Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Maloy to officiate. Burial will be in the Stave Creek Baptist Cemetery.
