Aggies end season falling to Jemison The Jackson Aggies ended their season on a down note Friday night at Legion Field with a 34-19 loss to Jemison. The loss dropped the Aggies record to 3-7 on the season and saw Jackson miss the playoffs for the second year in a row. As with pretty much every game Jackson has played this year, things looked promising for a while for the Aggies. Andrew Ezell returned the opening kick off 87-yards for a touchdown. J.D. Mitchell missed the point after but Jackson had a 6-0 lead before either team touched the ball on offense. Jemison's Jordan Mimms called his own number on a quarterback sneak with 6:44 to go in the first quarter to put the Panthers on the board. The PAT was good and Jemison led 7-6. On the last play of the first quarter Brad Jackson recovered a fumble in the Aggie end zone for a touchdown that put the visiting Panthers up 13-6 after one period. Things snowballed from there. With 9:59 to go in the half, T.J Robbins scored from 12-yards out to put Jemison up 20-6. Mimms found Merrill Morrow for a 30-yard touchdown with .22 left in the half to blow the game open at 28-6 at intermission. In the third quarter, Mimms found Isaac Hague for a 30-yard touchdown to extend the Panther lead to 34-6 with 7:00 on the clock. LaDarius Austin got on a roll in the second half with a 32-yard touchdown strike to Anfernee Crayton to cut the lead to 34-13. Mitchell executed a perfect onside kick to give the Aggie offense another shot and Austin answered with a 5-yard touchdown scamper with 7:18 to go. The PAT was no good but the Aggies made the score more respectable at 34-19.
The loss ended a season that Jackson would just as soon forget.
