Education retirees meet The Clarke County Education Retirees Association will meet Thursday, (today), Nov. 15 at 11:45 a.m. at the New Faith Baptist Church in Coffeeville. The program will be Legislative/State Office. Hostesses will be Faye Cotten, Janice Cox, Kathleen Dunagan, Grace Dunigan and Lummie Dunigan. DHR board meeting set The quarterly board meeting will be held Thursday, (today), Nov. 15 at 3:30 p.m. in the Clarke County DHR Board Room located at 22609 Highway 84 in Grove Hill. Lou I. Boykin is the director. Munden horse show The Bessie W. Munden Recreational Park's second horse show will be Saturday, Nov. 17 at 12 noon. The show is located at 194 Bessie Munden Road in Camden. Come and enjoy the horse show as well as other activities such as the sack race, stick horse race, hula hoop contest, egg race, table games, etc. Concessions will be available. Family and Friends Day Family and Friends Day Program will be held at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church Sunday, Nov. 18 at 12 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Jimmy McCarty. The church is located on Highway 84 West. Thanksgiving dinner will be served. Deacon Eugene Coats is the church clerk. Rev. Albert Ridgeway Jr. is the pastor. Kennedy's 94th birthday Mrs. Tommie D. Kennedy will celebrate her 94th birthday Sunday, Nov. 18 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Dickinson Baptist Church. All family and friends are invited to attend. DHR to provide foster/adoptive classes Clarke County Department of Human Resources will offer Group Preparation and Selection classes for perspective foster/adoptive parent( s). These classes are mandatory in order to be approved as foster/adoptive parent(s).
