Retired teachers honored at luncheon

Wilson Hall Middle School honored its retired teachers and staff with a luncheon on Nov. 8 in the school cafeteria.

Members of the Seventh Grade SGA greeted the retirees as they entered the school and escorted them to the reception. Principal Larry Bagley welcomed the retirees. Mr. Adam Andrews spoke from 2 Timothy 1:5.

An excellent meal of turkey and dressing was prepared by the WHMS cafeteria staff. Members of the Eighth Grade SGA served the meal. Entertainment was provided by members of the Seventh Grade SGA.

Jenny Henderson sang "In God We Trust" and "Jerusalem." Tia Frazier performed "Because of Who You are." "Suds in the Bucket" was sung by Morgan Strong.

Mrs. Tammy Dannelly's Sixth Grade Classes decorated the placemats.

Lucinda Gregory provided miniature loaves of banana bread for the retirees.

WHMS Retired teachers and staff present at the luncheon were Betty Beard, Lorean Berry, Jo Alice Robinson, Gloria White, Willie Williams, Peggy Arnold, Sally Howard, Easter Dortch, Mittie Beckham, Willie D, Lanier, Bessie Simmons, Elizabeth Granade, and Mae Ella Todd. WHMS would like to thank all the teachers, staff, and parent volunteers who made this occasion a success.
