Hicks

Freddie Earl Hicks, 90, of Coffeeville died Nov. 17, 2007 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 1, 1917. He was a World War II veteran. He was a retired road grader for the Clarke County Commission, District 3 Road Department.

Survivors include his wife, Mearl Hicks, Coffeeville; three sisters, Vergie Ravier, Mobile, Minnah Morgan, Coffeeville, Louise Frazier, Starkville, Miss.

The service was Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. at Ulcanush Baptist Church in Coffeeville. Burial was in the Ulcanush Baptist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were Arless Hicks, Gabe Hicks, Grant Ellisor, Joel Hicks, Andy Hicks and David Headley.

Honorary pallbearers were James Dunagan, Frankie Beverly, Bob Burnham, Basil Norris, George Woodham, Ray Purvis and Keith Graham.
