Scarbrough

Williams "Lester" Scarbrough, 77, of Grove Hill died Nov. 19, 2007 in a Mobile hospital.

He was a native of Clarke County and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a self-employed building contractor and had built many homes in the area.

Survivors include his wife, Elouise Huggins Scarbrough, Grove Hill; three daughters, Debbie S. Esham, Portsmouth, Ohio, Ann S. Baugh, Grove Hill, and Jean Stewart, Jackson; one brother, Palmer Scarbrough, Grove Hill; one sister, Janice Paramore of Marianna, Fla; and five grandchildren.

Visitation was held Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill. Visitation was also scheduled for Wednesday (today), Nov. 21 at the Bassett Creek Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral.

Burial will be in the Bassett Creek Cemetery.
