Calhoun

John Lee Calhoun, 82, of Grove Hill died Nov. 23, 2007 at his residence.

He was born Oct. 8, 1925. He was a member of the Full Gospel Apostolic Church of God in St. Stephens.

Survivors include his wife, Willadean Smith Calhoun, Grove Hill; one son, Pervis (Emmie Jean) Calhoun, one daughter, Mary (Bishop Theodore) Law, Grove Hill; two brothers, Collin (Delois) Calhoun, both of Grove Hill, Hollins (Claudine) Calhoun, Ozark; three sisters, Jimmie (Elma) King, Bitley, Mich., Delia Mae (R.J.) Bumpers, Jackson, Annie Parham, Detroit, Mich.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Bessie Cox Calhoun; brothers, Leroy Calhoun, Willie Calhoun Jr. and James Calhoun.

The service was Nov. 26 at 12 noon at the Full Gospel Apostolic Church of God with Bishop Theodore Law officiating. Burial was in the Walter Mission A.M.E. Zion Cemetery in Zimco. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
