Jenks

Audie Mae Jenks, 75, of Jackson died Nov. 20, 2007 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 1, 1932. She was a member of Jones Chapel Methodist Protestant Church. She was a work handler for Vanity Fair Mills.

Survivors include one son, Ray Jenks, Grove Hill; one brother, Clifford Murphy, Jackson; five sisters, Allie Bryan, Louise Clolinger, both of Jackson, Margie Savage, Loxley, Nellie Blackwell, Chickasaw, Mary Bayles, Saraland; six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.

The service was Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. at Jones Chapel Methodist Protestant Church in Perry's Chapel. Burial was in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were David Batley, Tim Jacobs, Tony Cox, Paul Karr, Ray Davis, Clint O'Gwynn, Tody Windham and Tommy Windham.

Honorary pallbearers were Bonnie Ray Overstreet, Joe Overstreet, Daryel Overstreet, Elwood Overstreet Jr., Sonny Creighton, Elma Averitt, James Gilchrist, Louie Overstreet, Fletcher Cox, Jimmy Gates and Ralph Overstreet.
