Berry

Rev. Daniel M. Berry, 57, of Schulenburg, Texas died Nov. 21, 2007 at his residence.

He was a native of Tuscaloosa and longtime resident of Nashville, Tenn. He graduated from Peabody Demonstration School in Nashville; was a graduate of Davidson College and Princeton Theological Seminary. Although blind from birth, he was active in the ministry and enjoyed contacts on his computer that included counseling. He also enjoyed playing the piano. His first pastorate was 32 years ago in Meridian, Miss. He was a former pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson before moving to Schulenburg where he was pastor of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lydia Jenkins Berry, Schulenburg; his father, Daniel M. Berry Jr., Nashville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his mother who died a year ago on Dec. 17.

A graveside service was held Nov. 26 at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville with Rev. Richard Rouquie, pastor of Hillwood Presbyterian Church and Rev. Mark Tankersly of Gastonia, N.C. officiating. A memorial service is to be held in Schulenburg on Friday, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's or to a favorite charity. Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens directed.
