McCrory

George Shannon McCrory, 58, of Efland, N.C. died Nov. 15, 2007.

He was born June 1, 1949. He was a native of Clarke County. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He was a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Christian Adults Sunday school class.

He was employed with Kenyon Concrete Pumping in Summerville, S.C.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah "Debbie" Lemoine McCrory, Efland, S.C.; two sons, Douglas (Marie) McCrory, Boiling Springs, S.C., Joshua McCrory, Summerville, S.C.; one daughter, Meghan (James) Jones, Summerville, S.C.; four sisters, Donna Anderson, Jackson, Eyvonne Newton, Vangie Waltman, both of Coffeeville, Vickie Peters, Thomasville, Becky Evans, Arlington; two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Minnie Mae Hare McCrory.

A celebration of his life was held Sunday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Riverside Baptist Church by Rev. Bob Stephenson. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory directed.
