      Thomasville Police Department reported seven felony arrests and 11 misdemeanor arrests over the past week. Dev. Foundation office to move to Grove Hill

      The Board of Directors of the Clarke County Development Foundation voted Nov. 29 to move their office from Thomasville to Grove Hill. The Clarke-Mobile Gas District has offered free office space in the Spence Walker building. They have also offered to donate office equipment in February 2008.

Town of Coffeeville raises business license fees

      The Coffeeville Town Council adopted the town's new business license fee ordinance during Tuesday's meeting. Fees were increased by $20 each. Mayor Faye Cotten mentioned that the Coffeeville Ladies' League needed to be reminded to get a parade permit before the Christmas parade Saturday.

Dec. 31 deadline for SBA economic disaster loans
      The U.S. Small Business Administration is reminding Gulf Coast small business owners who missed the original July 2006 application deadline that Economic Injury Disaster Loans are still available to small businesses economically impacted by the 2005 Gulf Coast hurricanes.
