Family welcomes birth of son

Steven and Julia (Cobb) Koon of Gordo are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Alexander Steven Koon, on Oct. 5, 2007.

Alex was born at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa at 4:21 pm. He weighed seven pounds and 12 ounces and was 19-and one half-inches-long.

Grandparents are Boyd and Mona Sha Koon of Gordo and Joe and Patsy Cobb of Fayette.

Great-grandparents are Billy and Emogene Koon of Gordo and Frank and Mary Cobb of Grove Hill.
