Roberts

Willie Marse Roberts, 70, of the Good Hope community of Jackson died Nov. 19, 2007 in a Tuscaloosa nursing facility.

He was born March 7, 1937. He was a native of DeKalb, Miss. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Walker Springs. He was a retired automotive mechanic.

Survivors include one daughter, Tiffany Roberts (Geoffrey) Gwin, Calera; five brothers, John R. (Deloris) Roberts, Philadelphia, Miss., Jerry C. (Jewel) Roberts, Atlanta, Ga., John H. (Walterine) Roberts, Southfield, Mich., Charles R. (Marilyn) Roberts, L.C. (Evangelist Terri) Roberts, all of DeKalb, Miss.; five sisters, Martha R. Campbell, Beulah R. (Curtis) Cooley, Dorothy R. (James) McMillian, all of Detroit, Mich., Lillie R.M. (Joshua) Johnson, Philadelphia, Miss., Evangelist Sadie R. Taylor, Bronx, N.Y.; one granddaughter.

The service was Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church. Burial was in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
