Students visit Montevallo
      Mrs. Jackson and Miss Becky took their class to visit American Village in Montevallo on Nov. 9. The students participated in the Pilgrims' voyage on the Mayflower. They also learned different games the children of the 1600s played.

Books donated to needy
      Second graders were challenged by Scholastic Books to read 100 books. If they met the challenge, then the book company would donate 100 books to needy children. Long places third in contest
      Miss Tindol Long placed third place in the AISA Oratorical Contest. The contest took place Nov. 6 at Huntingdon College in Montgomery. The topic for this year's speech was "My Perception of the Bush Presidency." There were 14 students competing, two from each district.

Sixth graders attend 'The Little Mermaid'
