Students visit Montevallo
Mrs. Jackson and Miss Becky took their class to visit American Village in Montevallo on Nov. 9. The students participated in the Pilgrims' voyage on the Mayflower. They also learned different games the children of the 1600s played. Holly Dozier, Gauge Horton, Ashley Jordan, and Noah Gibbons were chosen to present gifts to the Indian chief in the reenactment of the Peace Treaty. All the students watched as the Indians and Pilgrims told of the first Thanksgiving celebration in our country. The parents, students, and teachers learned so much on this wonderful field trip.
