Christmas praise in song and worship

The Grove Hill Baptist Church choir presented the Christmas musical "There is Peace in the World Tonight" Sunday evening under the direction of Dr. Randy Boone. Pat Williams was narrator. Solos were performed by Boone, Tracy Newton and Sara Wilson. Amanda Newton, Virginia Garrick and Ginger Wilson performed together with Garrick and Wilson singing solo parts. The Grove Hill United Methodist Church choir presented the Christmas Cantata "Touched by a Child, Touched by a King," Sunday morning. Ellie Wilson and Davis Rhodes served as narrators for the musical program. Cheryl Clarke is the choir director while Gene Clarke provided piano accompaniment. The church will host an hour-long Christmas Eve Communion service Dec. 24 starting at 5 p.m. Photo by Jim Cox
