Young

Willie Young Sr., 77, of Whatley died Dec. 14, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital.

He was born June 17, 1930. He was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church of Whatley where he served on the deacon board. He was a retiree of Scotch Lumber Company of Fulton.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Lee Lynum Young; five sons, Willie (Laura) Young Jr., Henry Earl Young, Charles Young, Clay (Francis) Young, all of Whatley; three daughters, Liza (Jimmy) Snell, Ida (Sam) Fail, all of Whatley, Cora Young, Riverdale, Ga.; one brother, James Young, Whatley; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 22 from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. service at Morning Star Baptist Church in Whatley. Burial will be in the Harris/Cleveland Cemetery of Whatley. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
