Ann Shirley West Davis, 62, of Thomasville died Dec. 10, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary.

She was born Dec. 17, 1944 in Thomasville. She was a member of Williams Temple C.M.E. Church in Thomasville. She was an educator with the Thomasville City Schools.

Survivors include her husband, Charles F. Davis, Thomasville; two sons, Earlando Courtney, Charleton (Nereida) Davis, all of Thomasville; one daughter, Jessica (James) West-Jackson, Montgomery; one sister, Gloria White, Thomasville; one sisterin law, Mattie West, Thomasville; three grandsons; four nieces; two great-nieces; one great-nephew.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. at New Hope #1 Baptist Church in Thomasville with Rev. Ronald Powe officiating. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville will direct.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made for a piece of art work commissioned to commemorate her memory by Charlie Lucas, to be placed at Thomasville High School, or to the Ann West Davis PEGASUS Scholarship Fund, c/o Linda McGhee, Thomasville City Schools.
