Lady Gators beat Taylor Road

1,000 points scored Clarke Prep School's Corrie Allen was awarded a basketball last Thursday by Coach Jami Barlow as Allen scored her 1,000th high school point. The senior reached the milestone against Sparta.
The Clarke Prep School Lady Gators picked up their first win last Friday as they beat Taylor Road 60-59 in overtime in Montgomery.

Corrie Allen led CPS with 42 points and 20 rebounds. Andrea Bagley had nine points and 12 rebounds. Leandra Morgan had eight points, three rebounds and three steals. Whitney Larrimore had three steals.

In the JV game, the junior Lady Gators lost 30- 15.

Meg Sheffield had nine points. Chelsea McDonald had four points and Libby Harrigan chipped in two points.

Last Thursday Clarke Prep fell 52-40 to the Lady Eagles of Jackson Academy in Grove Hill.

Allen again led the team with 27 points, 13 rebounds and four steals. Haley Hill had five points and two rebounds. Bagley had three points and five rebounds, Larrimore had two points and four rebounds.

Evin Bowling led JA with 27 points. Layla Lowrey added 12 points. Maggie Bowling had nine points.

The junior Lady Gators lost 15-9 to the junior Lady Eagles.

McDonald led CPS with six points.

Laken Harvey had six points to pace JA.

Clarke Prep traveled to Monroeville and lost 49- 33 to the Lady Volunteers of Monroe Academy.

Allen had 22 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and two blocks to lead the Lady Gators. Bagley had three points and seven rebounds. Hill had four points and two rebounds. McDonald had five boards.

They return to action on Friday, Dec. 27 when they travel to play in the Lee-Scott Tournament.
