Opening Day deer
     David Overton, 13-years-old, of Grove Hill killed this 6-pointer on opening day. The deer weighed 200 pounds. He is the son of James Overton of Grove Hill and Judy Harvell of Thomasville.

CCHS to host tourney
      Clarke County High School's Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will be hosting a Holiday Tournament beginning Thursday (tonight). In the girl's side there will be teams from Flomaton, Linden, Leroy, Thomasville and Jackson. Linden and Excel will be in the boys bracett.

Lady Bulldogs get donation
     State Representative Marc Keahey presented the Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs basketball team with a $500 donation recently. The money will be used to aid in equipment for the team. CCHS is currently 7-3 on the season after they beat Wayne County, MS last Friday night.

Lady Gators to play at Lee-Scott
      The Clarke Prep School Lady Gators will be taking to the road Thursday (today) as they head to Auburn to play in the Lee- Scott Academy Holiday Tournament. They play Fort Dale at 1 p.m. Taylor Road, Cottage Hill, Faith and Evangel Christian are the other teams playing.
