Siblings take trip on Tombigbee

Gilly Durell of Coffeeville and her brothers, Welden Parden, Dempsey Parden and his wife Shelba took a two week boat trip up the Tombigbee River in September.

Gilly and Welden traveled on Welden's boat, the Captain Kelly and Dempsey and Shelba traveled on their boat, The Lady B, along with their dog, Run-Run.

The group started out at Bayou Sarah in Saraland and traveled along the river to Jackson, Coffeeville, Butler, Demopolis, Aliceville, Columbus Cut, Miss., the Aberdeen Lock in Mississippi, Fulton, Miss., and several other locks in Mississippi before ending their trip.

The foursome enjoyed fishing and sight seeing along the river.
