The Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra will give a concert Sunday, Jan. 13 at 2:30 p.m. at the Sage Auditorium at Clarke County High School. This group of 40 young people is very accomplished and professional. Everyone is invited to attend. The event is organized by the Community Study Club of Grove Hill and others in Clarke County. Bill and Marion Hearn have adopted a stretch of Highway 84 near their home just west of Grove Hill and work hard to keep it cleared of litter. Numerous plastic trash bags lined the roadway now that the Hearns have picked up. The state will collect and dispose of the bags. The Adopt-AMile sign shown here has been riddled with shots but that hasn't deterred the Hearns from their jobs. A lot of county citizens work hard to keep roadways clean.
