He was born Sept. 9, 1959. He was a 1977 graduate of Jackson High School. He attended Hobson State Community College of Thomasville. He was a United States Armed Forces veteran. He was a member of Greater Mount Sinai No. 1 Baptist Church of Jackson.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Tucker, Jackson; one son, Vinson Montrell Payne, North Carolina; three daughters, Latriece (Quinton) Humphrey, Fort Hood, Texas, Venshan (James) Washington, Nicole Payne, all of Mobile; two brothers, Ambrose (Ruby) Tucker Jr., Wade Tucker, all of Jackson; one sister, Beverly (Ira) Baldwin, Jackson; nine grandchildren; god-mother, Bertha Smith, Panama City, Fla.
The service was May 3 at 11 a.m. at Mount Sinai No. 1 Baptist Church of Jackson. Burial was in the Mount Sinai No. 1 Baptist Church Cemetery. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
