Zack Izar DuBose, 83, of Silas died May 22, 2008 at his residence in Silas.

Survivors include one son, Tony Edwin (Susan) DuBose, Grove Hill; two daughters, Janice Dale (Terry) Williams, Debra Ann DuBose, all of Silas; one daughterin law, Kathy G. DuBose, Gilbertown; two grandsons, Jeremy Shane (Monica) Williams, Eric Ladell (Whitney) DuBose; two great-granddaughters, Jonnah Bess, Josie John-Kathryn Dubose; one great-grandson, Hunter Shane Williams; two daughters in spirit, Keturah Doggette and Sandy Tallon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy McLain DuBose, his first wife, Hazel Stanley DuBose; his parents, Asia Izar DuBose and Lyddia G. Hankins DuBose; two brothers, Acey Cecil DuBose, James Emmet DuBose; three sisters, Julia Pearl Sumrall, Vleva Fae Sumrall, Gladys Lillian DuBose, two sons, Johnny Ladell DuBose and Gary Allen DuBose.

The service was May 24 at 11 a.m. at Springbank Baptist Church in Silas with Revs. Bobby Holder and Wesley Slay officiating. Burial was in the Edgar Obituaries

Cemetery in Silas. Phillips Funeral Home of Gilbertown directed.

Active pallbearers were Ronnie Wimberly, Tom Stokes, Terry "Winky" Reed, Scott Lassiter, Franklin Baxter, and Jeff Vanderford, with Pete Vanderford, and Johnny Williams serving as alternates.
