Lynell Chapman, 68, of the Winn community of Jackson died June 18, 2008 at Jackson Medical Center.
He was born May 19, 1940. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church of Winn.
Survivors include his wife, Mary William Chapman, Winn; two sons, Authur (Forestine) Chapman, Fredericksburg, Va., Angelo Chapman, Winn; four daughters, Janice (James), Franklin, Daphne, Gwendolyn (Stanley) Campbell, Puyallup, Wa., Yolanda (Thomas) Wimbush, Meansville, Ga., Stephine (Leon) Bracy, Winn; stepfather, Hezekiah (Jeanette) Chapman, State Line, Miss.; two brothers, Gilbert (Willie Mae) Chapman, State Line, Miss., Rander (Harriett) Chapman, Montgomery; two sisters, Margie Williams, State Line, Miss., Lorena (Patrick) Wicks, New Orleans, La.; 15 grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, R.B. Chapman and Marie Chapman and one sister, Sarah Johnson.
The service will be Thursday, (today), June 26 at 2 p.m. with a viewing at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Winn with Rev. Donald Sterling officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery of Winn. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
