Van Rogers, 55, of Whatley died June 23, 2008. He was a retired logger.
Survivors include four children, Gervan Rogers, Ray Rogers, both of Fort Royal, Va., Ashley Rogers, Mobile, Alton Clark Rogers, Whatley; six brothers, Marshall Robinson, Zimco, Roy Rogers, Lee Arties Rogers, both of Toledo, Ohio, Calvin Rogers, Bobby Rogers Sr., both of Mobile, David Cox Rogers, Jackson; six sisters, Ann Pope, Grove Hill, Mary Pope, Barbara Whitsett, both of Mobile, Bennie Hicks, Linda Calhoun, both of Whatley, Robin Horn, Enterprise; seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isiah Rogers and his mother, Maggie Rogers.
The service was June 28 at 2 p.m. funeral at First Baptist Church in Whatley. Burial was at the First Baptist Church Cemetery. Reese Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
