Marcellus Henderson, (better known as "Cell"), 44, of Whatley died July 2, 2008 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 5, 1963. He was a graduate of Clarke County High School Class of 1981. He was a member of Mackey Branch No. 1 Baptist Church of Gosport. He was employed by Kirby Marine in Baton Rouge, La., as a tankerman.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Burroughs Henderson, Whatley; three daughters, Laquesha Henderson, Monica Henderson, both of Whatley, Alexis Wiggins, Monroeville; his mother, Rosetta Henderson, Gosport; three brothers, his twin, Marcus Henderson, Monroeville, Walter (Betty) Henderson, Javlin Henderson, both of Gosport; five sisters, Flora (Charles) Davis, Monroeville, Janie Nichols, Chicago, Ill., Lena (Gary) Griggs, Frisco City, Evelyn (Eric) Davis, Gosport, Shundra Henderson of Pascagoula, Miss., mother-in-law, Ethel Evans, Whatley; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter James Henderson Sr.
The service was July 6 at 2:30 p.m. at Mackey Branch No. 1 Baptist Church in Gosport with Rev. T.L. Douglas officiating. Burial was in the Mackey Branch No. 1 Baptist Church Cemetery of Gosport. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
