Percy Lee Robinson, 80, of Philadelphia, Pa., died July 17, 2008 at the Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown, Pa.
He was born April 8, 1928. He was a native of Whatley. He was the son of the late Ruby and Aucy Robinson. He was employed at A.P. Green in Philadelphia for 26 years until the plant closed. He focused his attention on his children and grandchildren. He was one of 12 children.
Survivors include a devoted companion, Mary Ann of Philadelphia; four children, Christine and Melvin Robinson, Philadelphia, Freddie Earl Johnson and Dennis (Genet) Horn, Whatley; two sisters, Ethel Mae Robinson Nettles, Mt. Vernon, Clearetha Robinson Edmonds, Mobile; two stepchildren, five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elevelyn Burroughs Robinson.
The service was July 26 at First Baptist Church of Whatley with Revs. Fernell Pendleton and Willie Coleman officiating. Burial was in the Indian Ridge Church Cemetery. Francis Funeral Home of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
