Nettie Y. Noble, 69, of Semmes died July 25, 2008 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 16, 1939 in Grove Hill. She was a member of the Bashan Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge #335 in Nanafalia. She was retired after 25 years of service with the Thomasville Mental Health Facility.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy (Sherry) Gibson, Grand Bay, Bill (Lois) Gibson, Vineland; one daughter, Mary Darlene (Michael) Dickey, Semmes; one brother, Royce Horton, Jackson; one sister, Patricia Ann Horton Prough, Crushing, Okla.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Evon Gibson and parents, James Purvis Horton and Mary Ellen Squires Horton.
The service was July 28 at 11 a.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Simpkins officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Vineland. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
Active pallbearers were Derrick Dickey, Jake Baker, Clint Gibson, James Jordan, Jay Bennett, Stewart Horton, Randy Prough and Russell Burnett.
Honorary pallbearers were Mack Noble, Rex Rush, Pete Morrison, George Vogtner, Bobby Squires, Ricky Skelton and Warren Noble.
